About Us
Amherst & Shapland ( Taunton and Wiveliscombe ) have provided accountancy services in the Taunton and Wiveliscombe areas since the 1970s. We feel very privileged to be based in this particularly beautiful part of the world, and we have developed a strong affinity with our local agricultural and rurally based clients and communities. However, modern technology enables us to extend our services further afield, and we are also proud to service clients from the length and breadth of the country and beyond.
We are members of the ICAEW (Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales). We are regulated by them and adhere to their standards of quality control and customer care to ensure we maintain the required standards of professionalism and service to all our clients.
We are small enough to care and to continue to offer a personal service. Each of our client managers offers both general and specialist skills and it is important to us that we understand our clients’ requirements, and provide the services they want. (A number of clients regard us as their financial “GP’s”. We’re pleased to accept that compliment, and will listen, help where we we can, and refer when we feel that is better).
We are pleased to offer all new clients a free half hour consultation and advice meeting. That ensures there is no worry about any unexpected bills.
